Thomas Burkett grave digging account, 1801-1806.

Daybook type entries of graves dug for various individuals, including African-Americans, children, and a French prisoner. Entries include the name of the customer, the age of the deceased, and a brief description of the person, be it wife, child, parent, or the customer himself. Also includes several ledger type pages of the sale of corn, turnips, potatoes, and beef and his services as a laborer, teamster, and making tool handles. Burkett was also the sexton of the First Ecclesiastical Society in Hartford.
